このコンテンツについて

In February of 2018, Rachael’s husband Micah was murdered in the line of duty. Micah was shot while protecting fellow police officers and citizens who came under fire during the arrest of a car thief. Micah left Rachael, and their seven year old twins, behind in his act of heroism. Devastated by the death of the future she and Micah had dreamed of together, Rachael nevertheless refused to succumb to her circumstances. She began testing and applying practical skills to grieve well and grow through the painful, traumatic experiences. In The Hopecast, Rachael and her guests will share their stories on their journeys of resilience. These stories will motivate and encourage you with clarity, direction and healing. Listen and meet the people who have been empowered by hope. Come and learn the skills to face your past and prepare for your wholehearted future. • Episode 153-Finding Hope and Healing after Divorce with guest Mona Rosene
    2025/05/27

Divorce is one of the most painful experiences a person can go through—but even in the midst of heartbreak, healing is possible. In this episode, Mona vulnerably shares the grief she felt when her marriage ended and the emotional toll that followed. She and Rachael talk about the importance of rebuilding your life after divorce and the vital role of community in that process. Mona also opens up about her time in Al-Anon, where she began to heal from anger and the need to control. She shares her faith journey and how God brought redemption into her story—how Jesus chooses us, calls us Friend, and offers a love we don’t have to earn. They also discuss her book, Hellbent and Heavenward—a raw, honest account of Mona’s relentless pursuit of a relationship with a God who cares deeply about the details of her life—and yours.
