This is The Henry Hudson Hour—a podcast about life in Austin, and everything that comes with it.

I’m Henry Hudson, and like a lot of people in this city, I’m trying to make sense of a world that’s loud, fast, and sometimes overwhelming—while still finding moments that make it funny, meaningful, and human. Austin is the backdrop, but the real focus is the conversations: honest ones, curious ones, and occasionally uncomfortable ones.

On this show, we talk about the heavy stuff—identity, mental health, change, politics—but we don’t stay there. We mix it with news, pop culture, local stories, and the everyday moments that shape who we are without us even realizing it. Some episodes are thoughtful. Some are messy. Some are just fun. All of them are real.

I care about this podcast because I believe conversation still matters—especially the kind that isn’t trying to win, sell, or shout. Just connect.

Why should you care? Because chances are, you’re living through the same questions, contradictions, and small moments too.

My goal is simple: after each episode, I want you to feel a little less alone, a little more curious, and maybe laugh on your way there.

Welcome to The Henry Hudson Hour.

  • Episode 15: Off The Rails (w/ George O'berg)
    2026/06/17

George O'berg returns to The Henry Hudson Hour for a wide-ranging conversation about change, memory, aging, creativity, and the passage of time. What begins with a discussion about a house being torn down across the street evolves into a thoughtful exploration of how cities change, how our memories shape us, and what it means to make the most of the years we have left.

Along the way, George reflects on retirement, friendship, diversity, weight loss, mortality, and the artwork he still hopes to create. Thoughtful, funny, and candid as always, George offers a perspective on life that is both reflective and optimistic.
