Welcome to The Hallowed Dead, a brand-new local show, written and produced by our newest host, Kevin Sullivan!
The Hallowed Dead is an anthology of the lives of the saints. We can all draw wisdom, courage, and inspiration from the lives of people who surrendered everything to God. These men and women embraced sacrifice, endured suffering, and lived with a clarity that comes only from knowing Christ is King. Their stories challenge us. They invite us to look inward, to measure our own lives against eternity, and to remember that everything this world has to offer is nothing compared to the kingdom of heaven.
In this second episode, Kevin recounts the story of Fatima. The story about three simple children, Saints Francisco and Jacinta Marto and the venerable sister Lucia dos Santos, is extraordinary, to say the least. To have an encounter with an angel alone is astonishing. To be entrusted with the message from the Holy Mother herself is beyond comprehension. What was it like to be the poor, faithful children at the turn of the last century, suddenly entrusted with heaven's messages?
