In this episode, I share the story of a sex offender I worked with while he was on parole and in court mandated Sex Offender Therapy. Outwardly, he was the charming, fun, and charismatic neighbor and father, a provider who attended family and neighborhood barbecues and was fully involved in family and social life. Beneath that perfect image, however, he hid a horrifying reality. I talk about what he did, the shocking details of his crime, and the lessons I learned from working with him.
All names and identifying details have been changed to protect the privacy of both the victims and the offender while keeping the integrity of the case intact.
