Eternal life doesn't begin when you die. According to Jesus, it begins the moment you believe.

From there, Randy unpacks Paul's prayer that the God of hope would fill believers with all joy and peace in believing. If you claim to know Christ but have no joy and no peace, Paul's letter has something to say about that — not in condemnation, but as an invitation to come back to the cross and trust the one sacrifice that was enough for all time.

The episode also opens up something most believers have never been taught — the priesthood of all believers. Paul describes his preaching as a priestly service, and Peter confirms that every person who calls on the name of the Lord is a priest of God. Not an institutional role. A spiritual reality. The church doesn't exist to be served by the world — it exists to serve the world the gospel.
