概要

 Luna drives Route 287 through the high desert of west Texas one November night when her headlights catch a man walking the shoulder. He carries a pickaxe, wears denim from another century. At the crossroads town of Pinnacle Ridge—population fourteen—she learns his name is Isaac, and that he has been walking the same mile of abandoned railbed every night for a hundred and two years.
