概要

The Presence Lab is a podcast for leaders who need to communicate clearly under pressure.

Hosted by Dale Dixon, this show helps executives, founders, and rising leaders strengthen executive presence, leadership communication, and confidence in high-stakes moments. If you need to lead a board meeting, handle a media interview, speak in public, navigate a difficult conversation, or show up strong on camera, this podcast is for you.

Most communication advice focuses on what to say. The Presence Lab goes deeper. It focuses on what happens before the words: pressure, physiology, presence, and the habits that shape how you show up when the stakes are high.

Each episode delivers practical tools to help you think clearly, speak with authority, regulate nerves, stay present, and build trust in the moments that define leadership.

This is not polish for polish’s sake. It is communication training for real life.

If you want to sound more confident, lead with more clarity, and communicate better when it matters most, welcome to The Presence Lab.

  • How to Communicate Under Pressure | Why The Game Changers Became The Presence Lab
    2026/05/03

    Send us Fan Mail

In this first episode of The Presence Lab, Dale Dixon explains why The Game Changers is evolving into a podcast focused on executive presence, leadership communication, and what really happens when pressure hits.

This episode is about more than a new name. It is about a sharper mission: helping leaders communicate with clarity, calm, and authority in high-stakes moments. Dale unpacks why smart, capable people often lose their edge in board meetings, presentations, interviews, and difficult conversations, and why the problem usually starts before the words do.

You’ll learn why communication breakdowns under pressure are often state problems before they are message problems, why over-preparation can make leaders brittle, and how to prepare for presence instead of control.

You’ll also walk away with a practical three-step framework you can use before your next important conversation:
Regulate your body, reduce your message to one clear point, and start with a clean first sentence.

If you lead people, speak often, or need to show up strong when the stakes are high, this episode will help you do it better.

  • Sweating Bullets from AI

My mind is a bit blown. I read about Google's newly released NotebookLM in Tim Ferriss' 5-Bullet Friday. Tim pitched it this way: "I know everyone is sick of hearing about AI, but if you haven’t heard this sample podcast, which was generated from a simple article, it will blow your mind. Those are not real humans. NotebookLM is an AI-powered research and writing assistant that works best with the sources you upload."
I didn't listen to the sample. I wanted to see it in action for myself. I uploaded the .pdf of my book, Sweating Bullets, A Story About Overcoming The Fear of Public Speaking.
Listen for yourself. I didn't type a prompt. I clicked the button to create a 10-minute conversation between two people, and this is the result. Let me know what you think in the comments.
If you'd like to see the study guide created by NotebookLM, send me an email. I'm happy to share.
