Scottish artist, Emma Miller, joins us in the studio for an evening of conversation about her story of writing the most honest music to date and the experience of flying across the world to record with us. From piano lessons as a child, getting a songwriting diploma and realizing this could be something, Emma shares her journey of getting to know herself and having a strong vision for her craft.
Emma Miller is an independent indie-folk singer/songwriter from Ediburgh, Scottland. Known for her harmonious vocals, powerful lyrics and exquisite paino playing.
Emma's first single 'Siren' from her album 'I Want to Be the Anchor' is now available on all streaming services. The full record will be released in 2026, which explores the themes of love, loss and the question of wanting children.
"Despite the melancholy and vulnerability of the songs, it was a beautifully liberating record to make and marks a chapter of deep personal and creative growth. The songs capture a timeline that stretches over the last few years for some, with others being written in the months and weeks leading up to recording in Tennessee. They are the lessons of a woman navigating her 30's and reveal the quiet inner strength that comes from knowing oneself: the good, the bad and the ugly."
Thank you to Emma for the interview and for entrusting us with such a beautiful and deeply personal process.
