THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAAAAY!

In the post-spooky season haze of horror and candy gorge galore, as fans get turned off and heaters get turned on, sometimes it’s good to think about the ones that service them. Or is that…serve them? This is Episode Four of Season Two of A Couple of Old Fashioneds: Becca and Joe’s Double Feature Date Night at the Movies!

On this episode the Theme is, “Fan Service”, and the movies are:

THE FAN & BARTON FINK!

Join Becca and Joe as they end October with some decidedly un-October-like films. Maybe October Films-like though. (Anyone who gets this random 90s-indie scene joke please comment and let me know, I need more friends). Whose film features a fan in service to their artist, and whose film features an artist in service to their fan? And exactly how many air ventilating apparatuses are featured altogether?

Watch the episode to find out if you guessed right, and stay tuned to the end to find out what the theme will be next week!

Don’t forget now the show is its own broadcast to subscribe to its YouTube and Podcast channels and stay up to date on latest episodes! Follow it on Instagram and Letterboxd to follow the complete movie lists and let Becca and Joe know in the Comment Sections on YouTube or wherever you Podcast whether you agree with their picks, and what movie you think of when you think of Fan Service.

After all, the greatest gift a movie lover can give another is a great title they have yet to discover. That’s what movies are all about - they’re the only kind of marathon worth participating in and they’re what Date Nights are made for.

So settle in, grab your favorite old fashioned drink with your favorite old fashioned person (if that’s the pleasure of your own company then we completely feel you), and revel in a couple old fashioned conversations with Becca and Joe. They are, let’s face it, a pretty old fashioned kind of couple themselves.
