  • What Are You Wearing? (with Pastor Ty Beckman)
    2026/08/13

In this episode of The Extra Mile Podcast, we ask a simple question, what are you wearing? Throughout Scripture, clothing is about much more than what we put on in the morning. From Genesis to Revelation, God uses clothing as a picture of salvation, identity, transformation, and calling.

This conversation goes beyond salvation to explore what it looks like to take off the “old clothes” of sin, put on Christ, and dress for the spiritual battles we face every day. Are you still carrying the old clothes of your past, or are you living covered in Christ? Are you dressed for the battles in front of you? And when people look at your life, do they see the brand of the Kingdom you say you belong to?

We need to take off the things that no longer belong in our lives, and recognize that following Jesus is more than simply being saved. It’s learning how to live clothed in His righteousness, dressed for the spiritual battles we face, and walking in the calling He has placed on our lives.

  • #16 - Are You Choosing Comfort Over God's Calling? (with Pastor Ty Beckman)
    2026/08/06

In this episode of The Extra Mile Podcast, we explore the uncomfortable truth that following Jesus was never meant to be easy. Scripture doesn't call us to a life of convenience—it calls us to deny ourselves.

Through the story of Abraham’s calling, we discuss what it means to trust God when He leads us away from what is familiar and into something greater. Just as Abraham was asked to leave behind everything familiar, we explore how God often calls us away from our comfort zones and into the purpose He has created for us.

Whether you’re wrestling with a step of obedience or simply seeking to grow deeper in your faith, this episode is a reminder that God’s purpose is often found beyond the places where we feel most comfortable.

  • #15 - Are You Still Searching for Home? (with Pastor Ty Beckman)
    2026/07/30

In this episode of The Extra Mile Podcast, Pastor Steve explores Jesus’ three “lost” parables in Luke 15—the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the prodigal son—to reveal the heart of God for those who have wandered away.

Using the story of the prodigal son as the centerpiece, Pastor Steve unpacks our universal longing for home, grace, and restoration. Drawing a connection to The Odyssey, he highlights how, much like Odysseus’ relentless journey home, every person is searching for something that only the Father’s presence can truly provide.

Whether you’ve found yourself far from God or simply need a reminder of His relentless pursuit, this conversation paints a powerful picture of a Father who never stops seeking the lost and joyfully welcomes them home.

  • #13 - How Do You Measure Faithfulness? (with Pastor Austin Young)
    2026/07/09

In this episode of The Extra Mile Podcast, Pastor Steve explores a question every believer eventually asks: Is my calling really making a difference?

Using the lives of Noah, Moses, Elijah, and even Jesus, Pastor Steve challenges the way we often measure success in ministry. While today’s culture tends to focus on numbers, influence, and visible results, Scripture points us toward a different standard—faithfulness.

Together, they discuss the importance of remaining faithful to God’s call, recognizing that lasting life change can only come through Him, and being flexible enough to let God reshape both our perspective and our approach. Whether you’re serving in ministry, leading your family, or simply trying to be faithful where God has placed you, this conversation is a reminder that God’s definition of success is often very different from our own.

If you’ve ever questioned whether your obedience is making an impact, this episode will encourage you to trust the One who called you rather than the metrics that surround you.

  • #11 - Why Is God So Angry? (with Pastor Austin Young)
    2026/06/19

In this episode of The Extra Mile Podcast, Pastor Steve explores a provocative question: Does God have anger issues?

Throughout Scripture, we see moments where God’s anger is on display—but how is His anger different from ours? Pastor Steve unpacks the nature of God’s righteous anger, why it is always rooted in justice and holiness, and how human anger often stems from pride, selfishness, and hypocrisy.

The conversation also challenges listeners to examine their own hearts. Why are we often quick to point out the sins of others while overlooking our own? And how might that very attitude contribute to the things that grieve and anger God?

This episode offers a deeper look at God’s character, the danger of self-righteousness, and the grace available to those willing to confront their own shortcomings before criticizing someone else’s.
