Jesus went to the cross to give us freedom from sin and death, but we often fail to recognize what He also had in mind while He hung on the cross for us. If we read in Psalms 139, it is clear how seen and known we are even down to the details. If the only thing Jesus had to die for was you and your mental illness, He still would’ve died to free you from just that. He doesn’t see those struggles as small. He sees you and your struggles and sees you as worth saving. He would do it again if it was only you.

Yet, when we grow used to these patterns, we find ourselves believing we aren't experiencing true love without these "roller coaster" feelings. In this week's episode, Libby talks about what God has been teaching her about steady love. Just like with any other relationship, the honeymoon phase will eventually end, and you have to face the crossroads of realizing if your relationship was based off of feelings or based off of love and devotion. Loving someone is a choice, and God graciously teaches us how to choose Him on a daily basis in the way He continually pursues us.

His character speaks otherwise, and He is faithful to finish what He started. Even when we are not faithful, He is still faithful. He cannot deny who He is.

We let ourselves believe lies like, "I'm going to end up just like my parents," and "this is just what I was born into."
