Eleven years ago, Christine was standing in a messy garage in Dallas with three kids under four and undiagnosed ADHD. What she did next, before organizing anything, changed the entire trajectory of her career.
Instead of diving straight into the mess, she paused and drew what she wanted the garage to look like: shelves, labeled bins, and order to the chaos. For the first time in her life, she finished a complex, multi-step project without getting pulled off course. Nothing else had changed, not her circumstances, not her brain, not her medication. Just the drawing.
In this solo episode, Christine walks through why she thinks this works: images and sensory associations are the first language of the brain. It’s faster and easier to process an image, and using a pause plus creative thinking engages different and deeper circuits of the brain than using words alone, closer to the parts that actually make decisions. Christine believes that many productivity struggles may stem from misaligned planning systems rather than laziness or a lack of discipline.
This is also where NeuroPlanning™ comes from. Love Your Design, then Dream, Decide, Do, Review, built from one Saturday morning and a garage that finally made sense.
