A foundational force behind the rise of West Coast rap, he helped shape the sound of Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and gangsta rap itself.

He received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award as an official member of N.W.A.

A car accident more than 35 years ago destroyed D.O.C’s vocal cords at the height of his powers - and in doing so, robbed hip hop of his talent as a rising star. A talent he believes can be resurrected with AI.
