概要
There’s a cost to not choosing yourself — and this morning, I felt it immediately.
Before I grounded myself, before I checked in with my body or my spirit, I answered a call.
And in that moment, I abandoned myself.
The rest of the day carried it.
The tension.
The irritation.
The quiet angst (and sometimes very loud) that shows up when you start your day already centered on what everyone else needs.
So many of us were taught that being strong means being available.
Responsive.
Capable.
Self-sacrificing.
But strength does not mean abandoning yourself.
It doesn’t mean waking up and immediately bracing for other people’s expectations. It doesn’t mean postponing your own peace until later — if later even comes.
This is not advice.
It’s a reflection.
If you’ve ever wondered why your day felt off before it really started…
If you’ve ever felt the emotional residue of putting yourself last — first thing in the morning…
You’re not imagining it.
You deserve to start your day without first asking what everybody else needs.
You deserve to belong to yourself.
If this felt familiar, you’re not alone here.
