  • High Anxiety: A Method for Confronting the Rise in GenZ Anxiety and Misattachment (Part 3)
    2025/06/14

Fear. Depression. Anxiety. Suicide ideation. How do we respond to the needs of what is now being called "the anxious generation"? According to the Center for Disease Control, over 1.5 million kids under the age of 17 take anti-anxiety medication, and 61% of college students are struggling with anxiety, according to the American Psychological Association. What are the physiological, psychological, social, and spiritual roots of these oppressive conditions? Join Dr. Lisa for part 3 of the High Anxiety series as she examines causes, effects, and considerations for raising a generation of emotion-regulating champions. Parents, you're not alone. There is hope for the next generation--and for our own generations--if we lean in to the wisdom of God's word. Education is discipleship. Who is discipling your children, and what habits of the heart are being construed as normal or necessary? Let's not conform to the pattern of this world; let's instead be transformed by the renewing of our minds so that we can know God's good and perfect and pleasing will. You've got this!

  • High Anxiety: A Method for Confronting the Rise in GenZ Anxiety and Misattachment (Part 2)
    2025/06/01

Join Dr. Lisa for part one of this three-part series on addressing emotion regulation in the youngest generations. In part one, she shares her own testimony with anxiety and overviews some of the psychosocial crises that are emerging in today's students. In part two of this series, she explains the power of inquiry-based learning, questions, and curiosity. As part of the analysis of human behavioral patterns, she assesses the cause and effect connections between three predominant GenZ emotions: fear, anxiety, and depression, examining their root causes as physical, social, and spiritual.

  • High Anxiety: A Method for Confronting the Rise in GenZ Anxiety and Misattachment (Part 1)
    2025/05/26

The average 4 year-old-child asks 437 questions a day. Their developmental stage of epistemic curiosity leads them to think, to wonder, to imagine, to search for the why. By the time these same children reach the teen years, they have often lost their wonder, their curiosity, their sense of awe. Their questions turn inward. Their thoughts become anxious. Join Dr. Lisa for part one today's show, High Anxiety, and learn how your educational format can positively impact the triad of emotional fallouts sweeping the youngest generation: anxiety, depression, and atheism. Discover an ancient teaching technique modeled by Jesus himself that develops critical thinking skills, inspires awe, and works wonders for emotion regulation. Homeschooling works. You can do this; we can help.
