    2026/07/01

Welcome back to another episode of The Co-Authored Life with author J.E. Sutton Jr. and his partner-in-creative-crime, Jeannie! This week, the duo dives into major writing milestones, including the completion of the first draft for the third book in the series, The Eclosion Point, and a production update on The Failsafe Program audiobook. In the Analog Book Club, they critique the balance of plot and "spice" in Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Crown of the Gilded Bones, share a deep-dive review of Anthony Doerr’s All the Light We Cannot See (and why the book trumps the Netflix adaptation), and preview their current mystery reads. Next, they head over to Plot and Popcorn to break down character growth in the series finale of Ted Lasso and unpack the dark, terrifying secrets of Apple TV's Widows Bay. Finally, grab a snack for What's for Dinner? as they share their go-to sheet pan meals, Ninja Foodi pressure-cooked spaghetti, and a special Japanese curry chicken recipe straight out of Jerry's debut novel. Plus, get all the details on their upcoming appearance at the Literary Indulgence Book Festival in Jacksonville and a limited-time BOGO book sale you don’t want to miss!Links in this Episode:

  • Seasons: Cooking, Binge Watching, and Writing
    2026/06/17

In this week's episode, we talk about the final stages of writing the first draft of Eclosion Point, the writing challenge of writing every day in June. We highlight our upcoming appearances at San Marco Books and More and at The Literary Indulgence Book Festival in July. Jeanne discusses her own book publishing adventure and the challenges facing new writers. We explore the Foundation TV series and the incredible show Widows Bay. We started watching Ted Lasso again, and it is still an amazing show. In our What’s for Dinner segment, we talk about Jerry’s dislike of large-scale family-style dinners, a great experiment with a tamari sauce vegetable recipe, and Gordon Ramsay’s fish and chips. We try to coax our AI pet, Abby (AIBI), to join the podcast, with poor results.
