I’m Cliff, and for over two decades I’ve helped entrepreneurs, creators, and leaders launch movements, build businesses, and design lives they’re proud of. The Cliff Ravenscraft Show is where I share how I think about building a business and a life that are fully aligned. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at the decisions, shifts in perspective, and internal work that shape how I create, serve, and grow. In each episode, I explore what it takes to do meaningful work, navigate uncertainty, and build something that reflects who you truly are. You’ll hear real-time reflections on challenges I’m facing, insights from conversations with clients and peers, and the principles that guide how I move forward. If you’re drawn to deeper thinking, personal responsibility, and building a business that aligns with how you want to live and work, you’ll feel at home here.© 2026 CliffRavenscraft.com マネジメント・リーダーシップ リーダーシップ 個人的成功 心理学 心理学・心の健康 経済学 自己啓発 衛生・健康的な生活

  • 831 - The Practice of Protected Focus
    2026/07/27

A few weeks ago, in Episode 827, I talked about attention, distraction, and intentionally subtracting the things that pull me away from what matters most.

But removing external distractions doesn’t solve everything.

I’ve discovered that some of my strongest distractions come from inside my own mind.

    A new idea appears.

I remember something I need to do.

I suddenly want to build something in Notion.

And before I know it, I’ve abandoned the very thing I intentionally blocked time to accomplish.

In this episode, I share two simple practices that have dramatically changed how I protect my focused work:

    Capture and Return

When an important idea or reminder comes to mind, I capture it quickly without acting on it.

    This matters—but not now.

I don’t have to dishonor a good idea in order to honor my current commitment.

    Release and Return

Sometimes I realize the thought doesn’t deserve any further attention at all.

Or sometimes I discover that I’ve already wandered down a rabbit trail.

Instead of judging myself or turning the distraction into failure:

No shame. No drama. Notice it. Release it. Return.

That led me to a deeper realization:

The goal is not to never get distracted. The practice is learning to return.

I also explore how this connects with more than 1,600 consecutive days of meditation and one of the central statements from my personal manifesto:

Discipline is the loving protection of what I am devoted to.

Protected focus starts with knowing your desired outcome, understanding why it matters, identifying the next aligned action, and putting that action on your calendar.

    Then, when the time comes:

Protect what you said you were devoted to.

    Capture and return.

    Release and return.

    And keep returning.

  • 830 - When the Answer Is Right in Front of You, But You Can’t See It
    2026/07/20

What if the answer you’re looking for isn’t missing? What if it is already right in front of you, but you can’t see it because you are looking for it in the wrong form?

In this episode, I share a simple story about a phone holder that was sitting directly in front of my son. He genuinely could not see it because he was looking for the box it used to come in rather than the object itself.

In this episode, I share a fictionalized coaching story that illustrates how the same thing can happen in life and business. We can become so committed to a particular frame, assumption, or version of the answer that we overlook the people, relationships, resources, and possibilities already available to us.

Sometimes the problem is that we are simply solving the problem inside a frame that excludes the answer.

I also explain why insight alone is not enough. Momentum begins when clarity leads to a next aligned step, that step becomes a committed activity on the calendar, and we protect our focus long enough to take action and generate useful feedback.

    Questions for Reflection
    1. What disruption, loss, obstacle, or inconvenience am I currently facing?
    2. What am I assuming this means?
    3. What desired outcome am I pursuing right now?
    4. Is it possible that this disruption contains an asset, relationship, or bridge I have not yet recognized?
    5. How might I choose to respond to this situation in a way that serves me?
    6. What is one next aligned action I could take within the next 24 hours to test this possibility?

Once you identify that action, put it on your calendar and protect your focus during that block of time.

  • 829 - A Manifesto for Living With More Clarity, Devotion, and Momentum
    2026/07/13

This past week, I worked on something that I believe has the potential to profoundly shape the next season of my life.

    I created a personal manifesto.

The idea came from chapter fifteen of Rich Litvin’s book, 100K Clients: How to Find Them, Coach Them and Keep Them. - Link To The Book

In that chapter, Rich describes a manifesto as something far more than a list of goals, affirmations, or aspirations. It is a living declaration of who you are becoming. It is a personal constitution. It is something you can read regularly to help guide the moment-by-moment choices that shape your life.

When I first heard the invitation to create a manifesto, I knew I wanted to take it seriously. Over the course of seven days, I spent about an hour each day reflecting, writing, refining, and allowing this manifesto to emerge. What came out of the process was not simply a better set of words. It helped me clarify the identity, commitments, practices, and inner posture that I want to live from.

A manifesto is different from traditional goal-setting. Goals often focus on what I want to achieve. A manifesto helps me remember who I am becoming as I move through life.

In this episode, I share how this exercise helped me reflect on five important areas:

    • Character: Who am I becoming at the level of identity and way of being?
    • Well-being: How do I want to relate to my body, energy, food, movement, and rest?
    • Relationships: How do I want to love, serve, connect, and lead without abandoning myself?
    • Wealth: How do I want to relate to money, value, service, receiving, generosity, and sovereignty?
    • Spirit: What is the deeper truth I want to live from when everything else falls away?

One of the clearest themes that emerged for me is this:

    I want to live consciously.

I want to begin my day before the world has access to me. I want to meditate, reflect, focus within, and align with the deepest truth of who I am before stepping into the roles I am here to live, love, and lead through.

I also want to continue living from the process I now call Momentum as a way of life:

Desired Outcome → Clarity / Insight → Committed Calendared Action → Protected Focus → Feedback → Next Aligned Step

So many people want clarity to lead directly to results. But I have learned that action always produces feedback, and that feedback can reveal the next aligned step.

This is the heart of what I am living, and it is also the heart of what I love helping others experience.

Toward the end of the episode, I invite you to consider a few questions:

    • Have you been intentional about what you believe about who you are?
    • Have you consciously chosen the narrative you tell yourself about your life, your work, your relationships, and your purpose?
    • Have you chosen what you are devoted to?
    • Have you identified what matters enough to protect from the distractions of the world?
    • What would you want to remember about who you are when external evidence is temporarily absent?

These are the kinds of questions that can change the direction of a life.

They are also the kinds of questions I love working through with entrepreneurs inside Next Level Mastermind: Momentum.

    Next Level Mastermind: Momentum

Momentum is a weekly coaching and mastermind environment for entrepreneurs who want to move from insight into committed action, and from committed action into visible progress.

Inside Momentum, we focus on clarity, aligned next steps, calendar commitment, protected focus, feedback, and accountability. You do not need to figure out the entire map ahead of time. You simply need enough clarity to take the next aligned step, commit to it, protect your focus, and then learn from the feedback.

If you are looking for more clarity, devotion, and momentum in your life and work, I invite you to learn more here:

If what you read there resonates with you, reach out and let me know. If it does not, that is perfectly fine too.

My hope is that this episode inspires you to think more deeply about who you are becoming, what you are devoted to, and what kind of life you are intentionally choosing to live.
