概要

 Christmas Eve, 1998. Luna drives the back roads of Millbrook, Vermont, past the old Frost Hollow Church — a white clapboard building boarded up since the 1950s. But tonight, a single candle burns in the bell tower window. She pulls over, drawn by a pull she cannot name. Inside, the pews are dust-sheeted, the air thick with cold and something else — a presence waiting. A woman in a dark coat sits in the front row, her back to Luna. She does not turn. She does not speak. But the candlelight flickers in a room with no draft. Luna learns that the church was closed after a choir practice in 1951 when thirteen children vanished mid-song. Some say they were taken. Some say they never left. And every Christmas Eve, one more candle appears. Tonight, there are fourteen.
