In the final episode of the season, Karan and Matt kick it off by analyzing how similar a musical idea can be to another pre-existing one, without sounding “too similar,” or “unoriginal.” Matt conducts a test along these lines by creating an original melody that is similar to, but slightly different from, a very well-known song, and challenging Karan to guess which famous song the tune sounds reminiscent of. Later, strap on your seat-belt as Karan provides a passionate reading of a passage from his favorite Cormac McCarthy novel. He and Matt go on to discuss the pitfalls of social media (again), and contemplate the apocalypse.
