概要

 Luna tells the story of a night in September 2019 when she took a detour off Route 9 in western Maine and ended up at a covered bridge that wasn't on any map. The bridge had a name carved into its beam — 'Mercer's Cross' — and a local man named Elias who warned her never to cross it after dark. She almost listened. But there was something about the way the wood hummed when the wind hit it, something about the smell of wet earth on a dry night. And there was a girl standing at the far end, wearing a yellow dress, waving slowly. What Luna found on the other side wasn't a road anymore. It was a waiting room. And the girl wasn't waving goodbye. She was counting.
