Warren Yazzie was born and raised on the Navajo Nation in Arizona. In 2013 he lost his sight to Retinitis Pigmentosa. Yazzie has become an advocate for people with disabilities on the reservation.

Julie Reiskin is the Executive Director of the Colorado Cross Disability Coalition. She has gained expertise on nonprofit accountability and best practices, publicly funded long-term community-based services, disability rights law, public benefits, and the intersectionality of systemic and individual advocacy. In 2010, she was appointed by President Barack Obama to serve on the Board of Directors of the Legal Services Corporation. Brenda’s guest today is Gabriel Gates, at the age of 8, he was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa. The exhibit, "Disability Pride and The Arts", was open from October 7th - October 30th, 2022. It featured works by Luanne Burke, Merhia Wiese, Elliot Wiese, and Maggie Wiese.
