概要

 Luna tries to shake off the impossible: the breathing that followed her home from the red door. But by morning, the sound has settled into the walls of her apartment — a low, rhythmic pulse from the bedroom closet. She tears open the drywall and finds a cassette taped to the back of the closet, labeled 'Milo — 1987'. The tape is not from the box. It is someone else's testimony. A woman's voice, cracked with age, describes what she calls 'the after-breath' — the thing that clings to anyone who opens a door that isn't meant to be opened. Luna follows the only clue the woman leaves: an address on Beechwood Lane. The house is abandoned, but the back door is unlocked. Inside, the air is warm and wet, and the breathing is not in the walls anymore. It is standing at the end of the hallway.
