How to use this tour: If walking, listeners should navigate themselves to the address in each episode title (directions for each stop appear in the episode description of the immediately preceding stop). Once you have arrived at the location associated with the episode, hit play for that location. If just listening, simply hit play for each episode. 

The tour begins on the southern steps of the Massachusetts State House across Beacon Street from the Robert Gould Shaw and the 54th Regiment Memorial Civil War Monument. (The nearest T Station is Park Street Station.)

Directions to stop #2 (15 Beacon Street): From the State House steps, look out toward the Robert Gould Shaw and the 54th Regiment Memorial Civil War Monument and the Boston Common, then turn left on Beacon Street. Continue forward, passing the intersections with Park Street and Bowdoin St. Stop at 15 Beacon Street on your left. If you find yourself at Somerset Street, you have missed stop 2.

Directions to Stop 8 (Copley Square): Retrace your steps for about 450 feet to the corner of Dartmouth Street and Boylston Street. Copley Square sits at the Southeast corner of this intersection, nestled between the entrance of the Boston Public Central Library and Trinity Church. (The nearest T station is Copley Station.)

Directions to Stop 7 (673 Boylston Street): Proceed, heading Southwest on Boylston Street for .5 of a mile, crossing over Berkeley Street, Clarendon Street, and Dartmouth Street. 673 Boylston Street is just past the Old South Church on the right and across from the Boston Public Central Library.

Directions to Stop 6 (352 Boylston Street, Arlington Street Church): Continue heading west on Boylston Street for .3 of a mile, keeping the Boston Common on your right and crossing over Charles Street. Stop at the intersection with Arlington Street. The Arlington Street Church sits at the northwest corner of the intersection of Boylston Street and Arlington Street.

Directions to Stop 5 (80 Boylston Street): Continue going South on Tremont Street for .2 of a mile, keeping Boston Common to your right until you reach Boylston. Take a right onto Boylston and stop. 80 Boylston Street sits on the Southwest corner of the intersection of Tremont Street and Boylston Street.

Directions to Stop 4 (145 Tremont Street): Proceed Southwest about 250 feet to 145 Tremont Street, which sits across the street from the Boston Common Visitors Center.

Directions to Stop 3 (138 Tremont Street, Cathedral of St. Paul): Proceed east on Beacon Street, passing the intersections with Somerset Street and Tremont Place. Take a right onto Tremont Street. Pass by the Granary Burying Ground and Park Street Church on your right as you continue southwest on Tremont Street. 138 Tremont Street sits on you left, across the street from the Brewer Fountain in the Boston Common.
