  • Episode 5- Brad Kaylor & Mineral Bluff Revue + Ridge Jam Bluegrass Festival

    Brad Kaylor and Mineral Bluff Review started in 2025. Brad and Chris also founded and promote Ridge Jam Bluegrass Festival in Blue Ridge GA, and attended IBMA in 2025 to promote the festival. Ridge Jam held a showcase on Friday and had bands throughout the day and they threw their Band in to fill one of the slots. That show caught some attention of several people and the following week, they had a few labels wanting to sign the band. They ultimately signed with Huckleberry Records, owned by Keith Barnacastle a few weeks later. Keith also owns Turnberry Records, Bluegrass Standard Magazine, Get It Played, and Tall Oaks Publishing. They all felt like they made a great decision. Keith and his team are top notch! Real, down to earth folks that love bluegrass music.They recorded an album in December of 2025, and just released the first single "My Last Name" in mid March of 2026.

  • Episode 3- Retro 78 (Clint Groves & Hunter Mott) & Tall Dark Stranger

    Retro 78 formed in October of 2021 and hasn't looked back since! What started as a good jam is now a band with a mixture of modern & traditional bluegrass, gospel and country music. Retro 78’s goal is to revisit and refresh some classic bluegrass music while bringing a high energy experience to the audience. The band is made up of powerhouse vocals and one of a kind musicianship. Lead vocalist, Clint Groves was nominated for the SPBGMA 2024 Male Vocalist of the Year, plays rhythm guitar and writes a lot of the band's original material. Clint makes his home in Clinton, SC. Singing lead, harmonies, and playing mandolin is Alex Hibbitts, who resides in Kodak, TN. Additionally, bringing a full sound and more instrumentals is Hunter Motts on the banjo from Boiling Springs, SC. They were honored to be the 2022 SPBGMA International Band Contest Champions!
