I will be reading to you from The Blue Castle, by Lucy Maude Montgomery. This is the last episode – what’s next? I am still collating all your suggestions, but I think it will be Daddy Long Legs. A nature special on Arachnids? No, it’s a 1912 epistolary novel by Jean Webster that follows Jerusha “Judy” Abbott, a sharp-witted orphan whose college education is secretly funded by a mysterious trustee. I think you’ll like it.
Last episode ended with Valancy not near death, back at home, back to her dreary existence, and convinced she had lost Barney, the love of her life.
