In this episode, we reflect on this journey of brokenness in pursuit of Christ. With the many unknowns we all will face, we know the call to seek wisdom, to forgive others and ourselves, and to grow into the image and character of Christ. But how do you stay focused when life feels challenging, whether in small ways or great ones? What do we truly need to stay the course, to guard our hearts, and remain standing firm? This is what has helped us along the way.

In this episode, we take a deeper dive into forgiveness. We share our personal journeys of learning to forgive ourselves and how, in different ways, we were each led through God’s Word to do it. We’re reminded that holding unforgiveness toward ourselves is still unforgiveness, and loving our neighbor as ourselves becomes hard when our hearts are still burdened by what we won’t release. God wants complete forgiveness–not just forgiveness of others–for healing and growing closer to Christ.

In a normal week of conversation, my wife and I found ourselves talking about wisdom. What started as just shared thoughts quickly became a reminder that God’s wisdom is sovereign. As we reflected on the Bible, we were led back to a simple yet powerful conviction: biblical wisdom restrains the natural submission to pride, re-centers our hearts on God, and aligns our purpose with His.
