  • Ep #4 Mentors: Why You Need Them & How To Get Them
    2020/07/13

A mentor is someone who’s more knowledgeable and more experienced in a certain field or area of life than you; and they train or advise someone using their knowledge that they’ve obtained in that field. And that relationship between you and that person would be called a mentorship. A mentor can have expertise in marriage, in a particular business field, a company, your health, and even spirituality. They’ve been there, done that, and their purpose is to guide you in a onward and upward path where you make less mistakes than they did and they can provide you the tools that they’ve obtain to reach their success. They cheer you on, teach you, guide you, offer advice, they provide you with their resources, to teach you how to work smarter and not harder, and can even give access to their network, and most importantly THEY KEEP IT ALL THE WAY REAL WITH YOU, if they don’t keep it real with you, then they’re not a mentor.

    WHY:

    1. They've already achieved the success
    2. They keep it real
    3. They have an established network
    4. Different perspectives
    5. The most successful people have them

    How:

    1. Search for similarities
    2. Know what you want
    3. Self-reflect
    4. Already be active
