    The Billy Caldwell Trail Council Bluffs, Iowa Episode with Mary Lou McGinn. Mary Lou is Council Bluffs local historian and author of several books. She was instrumental in completing the end of the Billy Caldwell story as she knew all of the Council Bluff history. Mary Lou and Susan drove down to Weston, MO to Platte County and researched where Caldwell camped for 18 months before arriving in Iowa. Mary Lou organized the Billy Caldwell historical marker in the St. Joseph Cemetery and also organized the movie premiere in Council Bluffs on February, 2025 with Mayor Matt Walsh.
