Northern Valley/Old Tappan was the No. 6 seed heading into the 16-team North 1, Group 3 state sectional tournament. The Golden Knights are now just one of 12 girls basketball teams in New Jersey with a game left on the schedule. NVOT beat North 2 champion Chatham in Elizabeth on Wednesday night to earn a spot in Sunday's Group 3 state final against Moorestown.
