  • The Screams of Jodi Sue pt2
    2026/09/01

The Bait Question investigation into the disappearance of Jodi SueHuisentruit focuses on the evidence—not simply the theories surrounding her case, but the details that can be established, challenged, and followed. Every timeline, statement, physical clue, reported sighting, and investigative decision becomes part of the examination. The goal is not to force an answer onto the evidence, but to determine where the evidence leads when assumptions are removed. Some clues may appear insignificant on their own, while others may raise questions about the sequence of events, the people connected to Jodi Sue, and what investigators may have known at the time. By following the evidence carefully and asking whether each clue actually supports the prevailing theory—or quietly points somewhere else—The Bait Question attempts to separate what is known from what is believed and uncover the unanswered questions that still surround Jodi Sue's disappearance.

    The Bait Question

Every investigation begins with a question.

But sometimes the question itself is the trap.

The Bait Question is an investigative true-crime podcast that examines unsolved murders, disappearances, suspicious deaths, and cases where the accepted explanation may not tell the whole story.

We start with the story we've been given. Then we take it apart.

The timeline. The evidence. The witness statements. The investigative decisions. The theories. The inconsistencies. And the details that may have been overlooked, dismissed, or simply never fully explained.

But there is an important difference between questioning a story and inventing a new one.

The Bait Question isn't about sensationalism, accusations, or forcing a mystery to have an answer.

It's about separating what we know from what we think we know.

Every episode asks the questions that can be uncomfortable, inconvenient, or even unpopular. Sometimes those questions strengthen the official explanation. Sometimes they expose weaknesses in it. And sometimes they lead somewhere entirely unexpected.

Because the most compelling story isn't always the most accurate one.

A theory can feel logical. A suspect can appear obvious. A timeline can seem to fit perfectly. And before long, we stop asking whether the evidence actually supports the story we're being told.

That's where The Bait Question begins.

    The question behind the question.

Because finding the truth sometimes means being willing to question the story everyone else has already accepted.
