  • Mohamed Toure's Norwich Hattrick & Riley McGree edges Middlesborough closer to the Premier League

    On this episode of the Aussie Game Podcast, we break down a massive week for Australian football with some Championship stars.

    Mohamed Toure scores a hattrick on starting debut for Norwich as they beat Oxford 3-0. Toure already has 4 goals in less than 100 mins for Norwich. This is his first hattrick as a professional footballer.

    A goal and an assist from Riley McGree have sent Middlesbrough to the top of the Championship with 15 games to go. The commentator called him the best player in the Championship.

    Most passes completed for Cam Burgess with his Swansea thumping Sheffield Wednesday 4-0 who are now only 5 points from the playoffs.

    Jordy Bos’ Feyenoord pick up a crucial 1-0 win with the Socceroos left back playing 82 mins having the most tackles and winning the most duels.

    Parma are now 8 points clear of relegation after a 1-0 win over Bologna. Alessandro Circati played the full 90.

    Garang Kuol continues to impress at Sparta Prague where he started and played 69 mins in their 3-0 win.

    Tough day for Mat Ryan as he concedes two late goals and his Levante lose 4-3. They’re 5 points from safety.

    A clean sheet for Paul Izzo as Randers draw 0-0 on the resumption of club competition in Denmark. Musa Toure also played the second half.

    Raphael Borges Rodrigues gets 23 mins off the bench in Wigans 2-1 loss to Reading.

    Hearts score a late winner to beat Hibs 1-0. Jack Iredale played a full game for Hibs, while Martin Boyle played 73 and Ante Suto got 30 off the bench.

    17 mins off the bench for Tete Yengi in Machida Zelvia’s 2-0 win in the ACL Elite.

    Winona Heatley’s Roma remain top of the league following a 1-0 win over Milan with the 24 year old playing a full game.

    Huge 1-0 win for Arsenal over Manchester City with Caitlin Foord playing a full game and Steph Catley getting 84 mins.

    Chelsea’s Ellie Carpenter plays a full game in their 2-0 win over Spurs with Sam Kerr getting 11 mins off the bench. Clare Hunt played 90 for Spurs.

    3 late goals from West Ham saw them overcome Brighton 3-2 with Katrina Gorry getting 26 mins off the bench for the Hammers. Charlie Rule played 60 mins at right back for Dario Vidosic’s Brighton.

    Alana Murphy plays a full game for her new club Notts Forest but they lose 1-0 to table topping Charlton in the WSL2.

    Caitlin Torpey also plays a full game for her new WSL2 side Newcastle United as they beat Southampton 2-1.

    A debut off the bench for Leia Varley getting 14 mins but her Nurnberg are beaten by Jamilla Rankin’s Hoffenheim 3-0 with Rankin getting 7 mins off the bench.
