The 2027 MINI Countryman SE ALL4 is the electric Countryman, and this is a driver's review of what 811 extra pounds of battery do to the way it drives. Two electric motors, one per axle, make 308 horsepower and 364 lb-ft, with 0-60 mph in 5.4 seconds and a 216-mile EPA range that holds up in summer and falls hard in winter. DC charging tops out at 130 kW. The story is the chassis: the gas Countryman S ALL4 carries 57% of its weight over the nose, while the SE sits at nearly 50/50 because the battery lives in the floor, and that low center of gravity is why the heavier car is the more composed one through a corner.
