  • Are You Not Entertained?
    2026/01/08

After an unintended break, Diggy is back with a run of stories that escalate quickly. There’s a school-day stomach ache that turns into three days off thanks to a baffling sickness policy, a brutal bout of COVID, and a delivered breakfast sandwich that contains all the right ingredients in entirely the wrong order.

Then it’s Christmas Day. A late start, chaotic family logistics, relentless cups of tea, dropped roast potatoes, burnt Yorkshire puddings, and a Christmas dinner that finally happens far later than intended and is deeply unsatisfying.

After all that, Diggy makes a big announcement: episode 100 will be the final episode of That’s a Free Bee.

The show was always an experiment, and it worked, but rigid schedules didn’t. So rather than force it, the podcast is ending cleanly and making way for something more flexible.

That new show is Hey It’s Diggy. Short, ad-hoc episodes released whenever there’s something worth saying. No fixed length. No fixed schedule. The first episode is already live.

Plus subscribers haven’t been forgotten. Payments were paused, subscriptions will be cancelled properly, and all previous Plus content will be unlocked and made free.

There’s one final episode of That’s a Free Bee next week, featuring the joke that inspired the name of the podcast.

And yes, there’s also a dog-in-a-pub joke at the end.

  • COVID, Costa & Six Fried Eggs
    2025/12/04

This week on “That’s a Free Bee”, Diggy crawls out of the COVID pit, still slightly croaky, but powered by caffeine, sarcasm, and a deep distrust of eggs.

After an unplanned week off thanks to a particularly grim round of COVID, there is a catch up on being completely bedbound, surprise lab swabs at the doctor, and trying to keep the whole “go to the gym and not fall apart” plan vaguely on track. Weight loss is happening, motivation is wobbling, and the scales are apparently doing performance art.

  • Salou
    2025/11/13

This week, we're diving into our recent family holiday to Salou, Spain, which turned out to be quite the adventure. I’m here to share all the ups and downs, from the kids’ surprisingly smooth flight experience to the chaotic airport transfers that had us running for our lives. We’ll also talk about the hilariously anticlimactic moment when I discovered that my metal detector surgery didn’t set off any alarms—talk about a letdown! Between navigating the buffet madness at our hotel and the unexpected joy of PortAventura World, there’s never a dull moment. Join me as I recount the mishaps, the laughter, and the unforgettable memories we made along the way!

  • Spectators Gone Wild!
    2025/10/23

This week, I give my annual rant about the chaos surrounding the Manchester half marathon, but this time, my focus shifts to the runners' families. Honestly, it's not the runners that drive me up the wall—it's their families who seem to have no sense of timing or tram etiquette! Picture this: a tram platform packed with families, all converging at the exact moment, prams in tow, and the poor tram driver having to play referee between a pram and a wheelchair. I mean, who needs a pram for a five-year-old when it’s just carrying bags? It’s pure madness! As I navigate through this tram debacle, I also share my own running journey, having signed up for a 10k, which I’m already regretting, and I promise to keep you updated on my training—or lack thereof!

  • What use is the Letter C?
    2025/10/09

This week: a passport PSA (yes, send back expired passports), a cringe moment watching a blind man walk into a parked van, and a delightfully silly tour of the subreddit r/LowStakesConspiracies — where people blame everything from gravy to skinny jeans on secret plots. Also: updates about Lore & Disorder subscriber releases and a reminder about the That’s a Free Bee Plus perks.

  • Reach-Around Regret!
    2025/09/25

Welcome back to That’s a Free Bee — the show that, no matter what the FCC says, is somehow still on the air.

This week Diggy brings you a triple helping of stories, including:

🦎 Goldie the Gecko Update: Good news! It wasn’t a burn, just a stubborn shed. Now he’s splooting happily and back to chasing food.

💦 The Great Town Flood: Thanks to a burst of freshly laid pipes, the entire town turned into Waterworld, complete with sinkholes, blocked drains, and the internet arguing about the difference between “corroding” and “eroding.”

🛂 Passport Purgatory: A bureaucratic odyssey involving identity theft fears, unhelpful phone lines, a tea break eavesdrop, and finally — against all odds — a shiny new passport.

🥤 The Aldi Reach-Around: A tragic tale of apple Lucozade, a crowded aisle, and a phrase Diggy will never live down.

All this plus schools shutting (well, some of them), a possible power issue brewing.

  • How Do You Even Pick Up Both Feet?
    2025/09/11

This week’s episode of That’s a Free Bee is a bit of everything: seaside misery, near-death heroics, gecko care, food-related slapstick, and, of course, a tram story.

Friend of the show Chris checks in with an update on Victor Wright’s Electronics in Bury. Then I recount our family trip to Llandudno — a beach day that started with seaweed stink, drunk strangers, and grumpiness but ended with me literally saving a kid from drowning. Beach shoes: 1, Seaweed: 0.

Elsewhere, Goldie the leopard gecko has been on a rollercoaster of diets, burns, and humidity issues — but he’s finally turning the corner. I also witness one of the most bizarre food-court disasters ever (imagine someone trying to levitate both feet at once) and wrap it up with a tram tale involving a balaclava, ticket inspectors, and one very dumb kid.

Oh, and yes — I’ve yet again got a new website: andonemorething.net. This one might actually stick. Maybe.

Stick around till the end for the weekly joke — it’s whisky-smooth.

    YouTube Keywords:
