It all started in France on June 2, 1975 when 100 sex workers began an occupation of a church to end the police harassment, fine, stigma, and the release of ten sex workers who had been imprisoned a few days earlier for solicitation. Now we hold that day to raise awareness for sex workers and the harsh realities they are still forced to deal with in.
