  • My Father, My Monster - The Case of Pascal Tsala Bina
    2026/08/30

In this episode, we investigate one of the most harrowing and deeply controversial criminal cases to surface in Cameroon: the trial of Pascal Tsala Bina. To the outside world, Tsala Bina was an elite, well-connected senior official at the Hydrocarbon Price Stabilization Fund (CSPH) in Yaoundé. But behind closed doors, he subjected his own 10-year-old daughter to severe, systematic sexual abuse and torment under his roof.

What began as a horrific domestic tragedy quickly transformed into a explosive crisis of judicial corruption. Despite overwhelming physical evidence and initial confessions, a controversial lower court ruling by Magistrate Marguerite Aminatou suddenly released Tsala Bina as a free man, triggering absolute public outrage across the nation. It was only after the brave child went live on national television, coupled with relentless digital activism, that the Ministry of Justice was forced to step in.

This is a dark but vital exploration into power, privilege, and the collective societal roar that refused to let a predator walk free.

  • Diane Yangwo - The Price Of A Life
    2026/08/20

In November 2023, Diane Yangwo—a brilliant 31-year-old language teacher at Ndogpassi Bilingual High School in Douala, Cameroon, and a devoted mother of three—lost her life. The cause of death was an internal abdominal haemorrhage, the tragic result of a severe physical assault by her husband, Éric Bekobe Mvondo.

While her husband admitted to the crime, the real shockwave hit Cameroon in April 2025 inside the courtroom. A judge handed him a mere five-year suspended sentence and a fine of just 52,000 FCFA (roughly $82 USD)—allowing him to walk out of court a free man.
