 Why TEAL? Because it’s the color that represents ovarian cancer (OC). That's the cancer I was (first) diagnosed with back in 2011. I decided to start this podcast because, sadly, OC is a disease that so many women (still) don’t know much, if anything, about. The aim of this podcast is to bring about (much needed) awareness by sharing my story and interviewing warr;ors that want to share their stories as well as guests that work in the medical field or w/cancer organizations. It may be a wee little podcast but the heart behind it is as big Texas! #stories #awareness #sharing. 🩵Hope

    This episode is not to disparage (in any way whatsoever) breast cancer awareness. I'd never do that! While at the same time I can acknowledge October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month AND point out that there are other cancers out there and ALL are important.

    Breast cancer changed the game, so to speak, with bringing out much needed awareness. And that is a wonderful feat; however, wouldn't it be great if ALL cancers got the same awareness as breast cancer?

    For ONE life lost to cancer is ONE TOO MANY, no?

    Thank YOU for giving me a listen and I hope to have more episodes in the near future where I bring on amazing women that will share their stories. 🩵
