She touches on the most crucial components of an effective ethnic studies curriculum, her own role as a race educator, and how communities can benefit from ethnic studies.

Dr. Nubia-Feliciano has a Ph.D. in education, a master’s degree in counseling, and a bachelor’s degree in social sciences. She previously taught at Cal State Long Beach as a part of their ethnic studies initiative and currently lectures at Cal State Fullerton, in addition to teaching part-time for UC Irvine and Chapman University. Her topics of instruction include leadership, ethics, feminisms of color, race and ethnicity, ethnic studies, and identity. Dr. Nubia-Feliciano is also the founder and CEO of the Colegas Group, a consulting company that provides academic and professional opportunities for scholars.
