Two years ago, I started Talk Your Abs Off with a simple goal: have honest conversations about fitness, health, and wellness that go beyond quick fixes and unrealistic expectations.

Now, after two years of episodes, incredible guests, and meaningful conversations, it's time to celebrate!

In this special anniversary episode, I'm revisiting one of my favorite parts of every interview: the ABSolution segment. At the end of each guest episode, I ask for one final piece - what is one thing we can absolve ourselves of the guilt and shame of from the fitness industry?

This episode is a collection of those lessons.

Over the past year, guests have shared insights on fitness, mindset, recovery, chronic illness, entrepreneurship, sobriety, aging, injury prevention, authenticity, and so much more. While each guest brought a unique perspective, many of their messages pointed to the same truth: lasting change comes from consistency, self-awareness, and giving yourself permission to do things differently.

Whether you've listened to every episode or are discovering the podcast for the first time, this recap highlights some of the most memorable advice shared on the show.

I'm incredibly grateful to every guest who has shared their story, expertise, and vulnerability on this show, and to every listener who has spent part of their day with us over the past two years.

Thank you for helping Talk Your Abs Off reach this milestone.

Whether you've been here since Episode 1 or just found the podcast recently, your support means the world. Here's to two years of conversations, growth, learning, and challenging the idea that fitness has to be all-or-nothing.

    And here's to many more!

In this episode of Talk Your Abs Off, I sit down with fitness entrepreneur and content creator Gina to talk about the reality of building a business in the social media age while still protecting your health, wellness, and identity outside of work.

We dive into the pressure of hustle culture, the challenges of balancing entrepreneurship with personal wellness, and how social media can shape the way we view productivity, fitness, and success. Gina shares her perspective on staying authentic online in a world that constantly pushes “more,” navigating guilt around slowing down, and separating fitness for health from fitness tied to appearance.

This conversation is especially for women balancing careers, business ownership, fitness goals, and the pressure to keep showing up online while trying to maintain boundaries and avoid burnout. We also discuss the influencer space, content creation, and what sustainable wellness actually looks like when your work and personal brand are so interconnected.

If you’ve ever struggled with all-or-nothing thinking, felt pressure to constantly be productive, or wondered how to maintain your health while growing a business, this episode is for you.

I'm diving into why your body changes after sports, why that experience can feel so emotional, and how your training, movement, and lifestyle naturally evolve as life changes. I also talk about the identity shift that comes with no longer competing, missing your athlete body, and learning how to reconnect with fitness in a way that actually supports your current life instead of chasing your “glory days.”

In this episode, we discuss realistic ways to get back into movement, how to ease back into training safely, the importance of daily activity outside of workouts, and how to redefine what fitness can look like after your athlete era.

If you’ve ever felt frustrated that your body doesn’t respond the same way it used to, or wondered if you’ll ever “feel like an athlete again,” this episode will help you feel seen and remind you that your body changing after sports is normal.

Listen now and share this episode with a former athlete in your life who needs to hear it.

Topics covered include: former athlete fitness, body changes after sports, life after college athletics, athlete identity, body image, sedentary jobs, training after sports, fitness motivation, healthy aging, and rebuilding a sustainable fitness routine.
