In the Big Bend country of West Texas, the discovery of human skeletal remains in a damp shaft at an abandoned mine draws Ranger Pearson into a long-buried homicide investigation. The episode is set against the isolated mining landscape of November 18, 1941, and includes a tribute to the Rangers’ real-life technical adviser, Manuel T. “Lone Wolf” Gonzaullas.
