The movie follows Isaac, a drifter with partial memory loss who accepts a strange job watching a psychologically troubled woman in an abandoned house on an isolated island. What starts as a creepy slow-burn with strong atmosphere, sound design, and one nightmare-fuel rabbit toy quickly turns into a confusing mix of psychological thriller, supernatural horror, and mystery.
In this spoiler-filled review, we break down the chained vest, Olga’s crossbow, the dead woman in the wall, Moe’s suspicious behavior, and why Caveat left us wondering if it was creepy, confusing, or both.
We also compare it to Damian McCarthy’s later films, including Oddity and Hokum, and discuss why those worked better for us.
