    2025/10/10

Joining us this week, Lisa White tells us how she intends to turn consistently red Wisconsin Senate District 17 blue in the upcoming legislative elections - by focusing on shared values, creating community and ensuring that everyone gets heard and represented. A stirring interview with someone you probably haven't heard of - take the time to listen!

Then, we use the audio from Representative Melanie Stansbury's attempt to show up for work at the US Capitol ahead of the shutdown, and Senator Bernie Sanders' own list of how the GOP budget bill could get his vote, all in the service of showing the truth about the government shutdown than began on 10/1/2025. • ICE Abuse Flight Privacy Law, DC Protestors Stand Up to Trump, MI AG Holds Hospitals Accountable for Denying Trans Care, Congress Holds Lost Science Fair, more
    2025/09/05

This week, we show how Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) are abusing the legal provision that allows famous people (and sadly, billionaires and CEOs) to hide their flight data from the public. Sure, let's protect Oprah Winfrey or Stephen Spielberg from their stalkers, but stopping ICE flights from being held publicly accountable is yet another red flag in a long line of them. Then, we look at how a coalition of activist groups in Washington DC are helping the citizens of our nation's capitol stand up and fight back against the forces Trump unleashed to "protect" it.

Next, we look at how Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is taking a different tactic to fight back against Trump's war on trans health care: suing the Trump regime only gets you so far, so what if you tell the hospitals that are rolling over that they will be held accountable by the State of Michigan? Finally, we look at the Science Fair held by Congressional Democrats to highlight all the research being flushed away by Trump's cancellation of grants. • BEST OF TMI: Hartmann's Breakdown of DC Coup, AriZona Suffers From Trump Tariffs, BWW Sued For Bathroom Discrimination, Man Released From Glacier, more
    2025/08/25

On this Best of TMI, we review a piece released by legendary talk radio host Thom Hartmann via Raw Story, where he breaks down the fascistic coup that has taken place in Washington DC, and how this is only the beginning. Then, we look at how something as inconsequential as AriZona Iced Tea's tallboy cans will likely double in price from Trump's tariffs, and why this is a good illustration of how no corner of our lives, no matter how trivial, will likely be spared.

Next, we move to Minnesota, where a Buffalo Wild Wings employee felt that a cis woman wasn't woman enough for the restrooms, causing a lawsuit that wouldn't exist except for the obsession with gender that some vocally hateful people continue to push. Finally, global warming is causing glacial erosion at record rates, and in the case of a Pakistani family who had lost someone in 1997 up in the mountains, that deep melting released his perfectly preserved body back to them, nearly 30 years later. All this and more on this Best of TMI for Friday, August 22, 2025 - listen in for YOUR Cure for the Common Media.
