This episode rethinks a familiar story: Jesus’ teaching overflowed with images of life, growth and the Kingdom, yet history turned his violent death into the eye through which everything is seen. We trace how a sin→guilt→death→forgiveness narrative eclipsed an alternative sequence rooted in trust, awakening, change and increasing life. By imagining a Jesus who lived longer, we explore how the central symbol might have been the Way rather than the Cross, and argue that the Cross should test fidelity to life rather than swallow his message. Far from erasing suffering, this perspective keeps Golgotha in view while letting the Resurrection and ongoing way of life determine the Christian emotional landscape. The result is a vision of Christianity that is serious about tragedy but ultimately life-affirming, pointing toward a future faith that walks through the Cross and beyond.
