The TV show “Beavis and Butt-head” and the movie “Office Space,” two of Mike Judge’s most influential pieces of media from the 1990s, don’t appear to have a ton in common on the surface. Dig deeper, though, and the parallels become clear. “Beavis and Butt-head” and “Office Space” share character arcs, motivations, relatability, a way of looking at the world and its people, and, of course, a creator. This episode looks at those similarities and how they work together to help form Judge’s comedic voice, approach to storytelling and legitimacy as a creator.
