  • 66 | OVERWHELMED: You Are Not Who They Said You Are (Psalm 8)
    2026/03/22

What if the reason you struggle to see your worth… is because you’ve been looking in the wrong mirror?

Most of us have been answering one question our entire lives:

    Who am I?

But the answers we’ve been living by didn’t come from God.
    They came from culture.
    From people.
    From pain.

And slowly, without realizing it, we start building our lives on a distorted reflection.

Like looking into a warped mirror… and believing it’s true.

But Psalm 8 invites us to lift our eyes higher.

David looks at the vastness of the heavens, the moon, the stars, the work of God’s fingers, and asks:

“What is man that You are mindful of him?” — Psalm 8:4

    Frail.
    Finite.
    Dust-made.

    And yet… not forgotten.

    Not overlooked.

This is where everything begins to shift.

Because your identity doesn’t start with you. It starts with God.

And when you see Him clearly, you begin to see yourself correctly.

    In This Episode, We'll Discuss:

✅ Why most of us are living from a distorted view of ourselves
✅ How culture, pain, and past voices shape false identity
✅ What it truly means to be made in the image of God
✅ Why David starts with God before asking about man
✅ How a wrong view of God leads to a wrong view of yourself

You are not who they said you are.

You are not who your past says you are.

You are who God says you are.

And until you go back to the One who made you, you will keep living from a reflection that was never true.

  • 65 | OVERWHELMED: Wrong Lens, Wrong Life
    2026/03/15

What if the reason life feels overwhelming… isn’t your circumstances, but the lens you’re using to see them?

When life is viewed only “under the sun,” everything can start to feel meaningless.
    Work.
    Achievement.
    Pleasure.
    Success.

Solomon examined all of it and delivered a sobering diagnosis: “Vanity of vanities… all is vanity.” — Ecclesiastes 1:2

If life is interpreted through the wrong lens—one that leaves God out of the picture—everything eventually feels like vapor.

Temporary. Elusive. Impossible to hold onto.

But the Bible also shows us something deeper.

The problem isn’t just the pain we experience.

Sometimes it’s the lens through which we interpret it.

A wrong lens leads to a wrong life.

But when we see life through God’s purposes, even suffering can be transformed.

    In This Episode, We'll Discuss:
✅ Why life feels overwhelming when it’s viewed only “under the sun”
✅ How Solomon exposes the emptiness of a God-less worldview
✅ What Job’s suffering reveals about the human search for meaning
✅ Why Jesus reframes suffering from blame to purpose
✅ How changing your lens can change the way you experience life

The crisis of meaning is real.

But the answer isn’t found in trying harder, achieving more, or escaping suffering.

It’s found in seeing life through the right lens—the lens of God’s purpose revealed in Christ.

Because the lens you use to see the world will shape the life you live in it.

  • 64 | OVERWHELMED: Man's Search for Meaning
    2026/03/08

What if the reason life feels overwhelming… is because we’re searching for meaning in a world that can’t give it?

    Wake up.
    Work.
    Fight traffic.
    Come home exhausted.
    Repeat.

Life can slowly become a cycle that feels more tiring than meaningful.

In Ecclesiastes 1:2, Solomon looked at life from a purely earthly perspective and came to a sobering conclusion: “Vanity of vanities… all is vanity.”

Life can feel like vapor...real, but impossible to hold onto.

You work, build, and strive, yet everything seems to slip through your fingers.

And when suffering enters the picture, the questions grow deeper.

Job lost his wealth, his health, and his children and cried out in despair, asking why he had even been born.

But when Jesus encountered a man born blind, He reframed the question entirely.

Instead of asking “Who sinned?” He said: “That the works of God might be displayed in him.” — John 9:3

What looks meaningless to us may actually be the place where God’s purpose is revealed.

    In This Episode:

✅ Why life feels empty when it’s lived only “under the sun.”
✅ What Solomon’s search reveals about success and achievement
✅ How suffering intensifies our search for meaning
✅ Why Jesus reframes suffering from blame to purpose
✅ How God can work through even the hardest seasons

You were never meant to live a life confined to “under the sun.”

You were made by God and for God.

And the meaning your soul longs for isn’t found in the cycle of life—it’s found in the Christ who breaks the cycle.
