Celebrating the Holidays and Holy Days with

    Sunday edition

    By: Anthony Corona

This week on Sunday edition, we leaned into the season with a conversation that was warm, meaningful, and full of joy. Throughout the year we have shared our Faith in Modern Times series with Mark, Lorna, and Gabriel, and they returned for a holiday edition focused on how we celebrate, how we keep the joy alive, and how we share and spread that joy throughout the holidays.

This episode is a blend of tradition, music, and memories. We talked about faith based reflections, secular celebrations, cultural rituals, and the little moments that make this time of year feel meaningful. Some traditions are rooted in religion, some in family, some in chosen family, and some simply in comfort and connection. All of them belong here.

We also took a stroll through the soundtrack and screen glow of the season, the holiday music that lives in our bones, the specials that signal it is officially that time of year, and the quiet comfort of the Yule log flickering in the background while life slows down just a bit. We celebrated what we can be thankful for, how we hold onto our faith, and how we honor faith of all traditions.

Holiday music highlights from this episode included old favorites like "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" and music from A Charlie Brown Christmas, along with newer offerings like Kylie Minogue's "Hot in December." We also visited traditional staples including "O Holy Night" and "Joy to the World."

Mark treated us to some wonderfully creative songs made with creation help by artificial intelligence, including a Christmas perspective from the often left out Rudolph partner, Clarice. She just loves his red nose, but we digress.

Anthony shared his own cover of "Happy Xmas, War Is Over," and we closed out the episode by rocking right into "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree."

We would love to hear from you.

What are your holiday must listens

What are your holiday must eats What traditions do you return to year after year

What songs or specials instantly put you in the holiday spirit

Maybe it is "Dreidel Dreidel Dreidel"

Maybe it is "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer"

Maybe it is music from A Charlie Brown Christmas

Maybe it is the glow of the Yule log on television

Maybe it is "Let It Snow"

    Maybe it is "Silver Bells"

    Maybe it is "Feliz Navidad"

    Maybe it is "Last Christmas"

Maybe it is a song or tradition that only exists in your family

  • Sunday edition presents Putting the Candy in Cane A guide to the perfect holiday mobility gift with Ambutech
    2025/12/06

    Sunday edition presents

    Putting the Candy in Cane

A guide to the perfect holiday mobility gift with Ambutech

    By: Anthony Corona

In this special bonus episode of Sunday edition, Anthony sits down with Laura from Ambutech to talk about purchasing mobility canes for yourself or as the perfect holiday gift. We explore what you need to know before choosing a cane, some of the new and very cool features that are now available, and how to make sure the cane you select truly supports independence, comfort, and safety.

Laura brings extraordinary insight to this conversation. She is Ambutech’s Production, Compliance and Improvement Specialist, a role where her sharp eye for detail and natural talent for problem solving shine every single day. She analyzes processes, finds creative solutions, and ensures everything on the production floor runs safely, efficiently, and with the highest standards of quality. Outside of work, Laura loves escape room style puzzles, spending time with her two young children, and keeping up with her energetic dog and curious cat. Her focus, patience, and dedication make her an invaluable part of the Ambutech team.

During our conversation, we walk through the journey of mobility canes over the years, how designs have evolved, why certain materials were introduced, and how user feedback continues to shape what Ambutech builds. We also explore some very cool new customization features that are now available, the growing collection of cane colors and styles, and all of the different cane tips that can dramatically change the feel and purpose of a mobility cane. From rolling tips and marshmallow tips to specialty tips for specific environments, Laura breaks down what they do, how they work, and why choosing the right one matters.

We even put together a friendly holiday guide for friends and family who may want to purchase a customized cane as a gift. If you or someone you love has ever wanted a cane in a favorite color, with a preferred grip, in a specific material, or paired with the perfect tip, this episode is a must listen. Laura is an incredible resource, and anyone considering giving or receiving a customized mobility cane this holiday season will find a wealth of helpful information. Share it with your friends and family and drop a hint or two if you are hoping for a fabulous Christmas mobility gift.

We also take a moment to highlight the incredible legacy behind the canes so many of us trust. Ambutech began as a small shop making support canes in the early 1980s and expanded into mobility canes in 1989, a shift that helped define the future of the company. Over the decades, Ambutech has grown into the largest supplier of mobility products in Europe and North America, distributing to more than eighty countries. Their success comes from a deep commitment to quality, customer feedback, and continuous investment in advanced manufacturing techniques. Every cane is made to order, using automation for accuracy and speed and hand finishing for craftsmanship and reliability. From fiberglass and graphite canes to an impressive array of cane tips, Ambutech continues to blend new technology with traditional care to support users all around the world.

As we celebrate the season, this bonus episode is also a perfect lead in to the Sunday edition Holiday Giveaway. Anyone who subscribes to Anthony Corona on Substack or sends the Sunday edition family of podcast and digital media content services a tip through the TIP jars on our podcasts is automatically entered to win.

  • Sunday Edition Presents: Air Travel The Good, Bad and experiences a Solution Based Conversation
    2025/12/01

Sunday Edition PresentsAir Travel: The Good, the Bad and the UglyA Conversation About Experience and Solution

This week’s episode of SUNDAYEDITION dives into a timely and necessary discussion about air travel, accessibility, and the lived experiences of blind and low vision travelers. Many Sunday Edition audience members know that I, Anthony Corona, recently attended the Blind Travel Summit. In a serious twist of irony, the trip home from that very summit resulted in one of the worst air travel experiences of my life. The airline in question was dismissive and abrasive at best, and at worst their actions violated my civil rights through bullying, lack of communication, and a refusal to follow basic protocol.

This experience fueled my determination to bring the conversations we had at the Blind Travel Summit directly to our community. I invited friends from the summit, including Mika, Jean, Pen, and Jeremy, to join me for a deeper roundtable conversation. Lifelong air-travel advocate Gabriel also joined us, sharing perspectives shaped by decades of experience. Together, we explored the good, the bad, and the unfathomably ugly realities of travel while centering solution-based advocacy, equitable practices, and the need for true understanding baked into hiring, training, and infrastructure across the industry.

This conversation will serve as a springboard for a broader initiative in the air travel space. We are already arranging a follow-up meeting with accessibility teams, operations, and executive leadership from several major airlines. As of this taping, three airlines have committed to participating in a January 7 conversation aimed at improving access, dignity, and consistency for all travelers with disabilities.

The Sunday Edition family of podcasts and digital media content services continues to grow and expand, especially during this holiday season. Be sure to listen to this episode for all the details about our holiday giveaway and how you can take part.
