Guest Bio

Dr. Billy Palmer was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida, and earned his Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees in psychology from the University of Florida. After completing a predoctoral internship at the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System and a postdoctoral fellowship at Ringling College of Art and Design, he served as the Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) coordinator at UF Counseling and Wellness Center. He transitioned to full-time private practice in early 2023, specializing in therapy for people who use substances and psychological testing. When he's not working as a psychologist, he spends time with his family or reads a good book.
