  • 109: What Not to Say After Baby Loss - Lauren Hincks
    2026/04/29
When Lauren and her husband Jack lost their baby, Rupert, their world changed forever. In the days, weeks, and years that followed, they were met with an outpouring of support, but also well-meaning comments that often missed the mark.

In this episode of Still Parents, Lauren shares the story of Rupert, the reality of living with baby loss, and how unhelpful advice can compound grief. We explore what it means to navigate stillbirth and bereavement as a couple, how relationships are affected, and why there is no 'right' way to grieve.

This conversation is an honest look at grief after baby loss, and a gentle guide for anyone wanting to better support someone through it.

    In this episode:

    • The emotional reality of losing a baby
    • Grief after stillbirth and how it evolves over time
    • The impact of well-meaning but unhelpful comments
    • Navigating loss as a couple
    • What to say (and what not to say) to grieving parents

If you’ve experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss — or want to support someone who has, this episode offers insight, honesty, and compassion.

  • 103: Aurora’s Run – Jordan Black - Part 2
    2026/01/31

On the 30th–31st January 2026, Jordan ran 108 miles in 24 hours, retracing the journey his daughter Aurora took during her short but powerful life.

From Leicester Royal Infirmary, to Queen’s Medical Centre Nottingham, to Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and finally to her memorial tree just outside of Coventry. This route carried every step, every fear, every hope lived as a family.

Aurora was only with Jordan & Kathleen for two months, but she changed everything.

The run raises money for the incredible teams who cared for Aurora, the teams who supported Jordan & Kathleen, and for the baby loss charities who support families every single day.

Jordan Black - "This run isn’t about endurance. It’s about gratitude, grief, love, and purpose. It’s about turning the hardest chapter of our lives into something that can help others."
