  • Meet Student Bianca Zollicoffer!
    2023/10/12

Curious about NLU's competency-based (CB) program? Listen in to get to know Bianca and learn more about CB and her journey!

    Bianca's Bio-

My name is Bianca Zollicoffer. I am currently an Executive School Director for an amazing childcare center in the Chicago suburbs. I absolutely love traveling and spending time with my 8-year-old daughter. I have 10+ years of CNA/Hospice experience and about eight years of ECE experience. I primarily speak English but can understand Spanish enough to have a conversation and reply minimally. My ultimate goal plan is to become a Special Education Coordinator or Teacher. I love helping parents connect with Early Intervention and transition into the school district. I am currently going for my Bachelor's in ECE with a PEL/LBS1 learning journey. I received my Associate's from Rasmussen, but I have enjoyed the overall process at NLU. I am excited to continue my education journey while doing what I love because, as my grandma always says, "Time waits for no one."

  • AI and Time Management
    2023/10/02
To effectively manage our busy lives, a time management plan is critical. If you are similar to me, this does not come naturally, and I have to force myself to purposefully plan my weeks to ensure I adhere to my responsibilities. Many of us go to school in addition to ONE MILLION other responsibilities we have to take care of. By this point in your academic career, you have heard of several apps and platforms to help you manage your time effectively. They all have some excellent features, but again, if you are like me and have tried everything under the sun to help you manage your time that didn't quite fit your style, why not try artificial intelligence (AI)? In this video Podcast, I use ChatGPT to create a weekly schedule for a typical (if that exists :) NLU student. You will see how you can leverage AI to build a personalized schedule that fits who you are. This session is part of a larger series I intend to add to our Podcast periodically called Use AI for Good! If needed, here is the link to the video version of this podcast episode on YouTube- https://youtu.be/TOswLCmgj-Q?si=qk4iEmDky1v3l7-h
