In Mark 13:28–37, Jesus calls His people to watchfulness and readiness. Pastor Andy Lake explains that prophecy is not given to fuel endless speculation, but to produce faithful obedience. While charts, timelines, symbols, and future events may be interesting to study, they must never distract from the central point of Scripture: Jesus Christ. The believer is not called to decode every headline or calculate every date, but to live faithfully today. This sermon emphasizes that heaven and earth will pass away, but the words of Christ will never pass away. The date of His return is hidden, but the duty of His people is clear: watch, pray, obey, serve, forgive, and be ready. Readiness is not fearfully staring at the clouds. It is faithfully living as a servant of the Master until He comes.
