Our guest today is a true rock-and-roll veteran whose career has put him behind the drums—and alongside—some of the biggest names in music history.

Joe Vitale has played and recorded with legends including Joe Walsh, the Eagles, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Peter Frampton, and many more. He was a key member of Barnstorm, co-wrote the classic "Rocky Mountain Way," and has spent more than five decades collecting the kinds of stories that only someone who was actually there can tell.

Today, we get to hear some of those stories firsthand, and the stories Joe and Stan tell from their humble beginnings should not be missed!

Our guest today is the incredible Kenny Passarelli. He is one of the hidden architects of '70s rock. He helped create the sound of Joe Walsh's Barnstorm, co-wrote 'Rocky Mountain Way,' held down the low end for Elton John at the height of superstardom, recorded with Stephen Stills, Dan Fogelberg and Hall & Oates, and others — and, in a twist of fate, helped launch our own Stanley Sheldon's journey with Peter Frampton.
